So today I don't think the temperature has come above zero and it feels pretty darn cold out there.
But on the upside. The frost is magical. It glistens and shines and dances in the moonlight.
This has given me the desire to capture this moment in a piece of jewellery. Something whimsical. I'm thinking crystals and ice blue...there is an image in my head...I just need to translate it.

Accessories By Amy
Hello my name is Amy and I have a fascination with making cute felties and jewellery. I spend more time buying crafting supplies than I spend using them but I enjoy browsing the stores just as much!

Gone...but not forgotten
I know it has been a very long time. Too long in fact.
I've just not had a real urge to fill out a blog. That urge is back though.
I've been fairly busy making jewellery and selling things at local craft fairs.
So this is me. Signing on. Again.

I'm back..eventually
>>>I've not been around lately, updated my tweets yes but this no.
I've been in hiding.
Creating creatures and magical things for others to love.
My friend had a birthday, she is 21 now. We are really starting to feel old.
I had some deja vu the other day. I was eating some toast with spaghetti hoops and had a flashback. My friend and I used to eat "Toost and Spaghetoo" on her kitchen floor surrounded by candles. It was romantic. I felt so young during my flashbak, then I was old again...
But anyway she had a birthday, and I made her a gecko that was disguised as a purse. She was soo happy. It was really cute. I never took a picture though because my phone died.
I took a picture of a ladybird disguised as a purse that I made for myself though...It makes me feel happy when I open it to get my monies.
I've been making a lot of bracelets recently also. It's fun because it's really fiddly and I like things like that..
I started growing brocolli and that has taken up a lot of my time..it's like looking after a small child. They are out in the back garden just now getting their last drop of sunshine for the day. Who knew I had green fingers?
I have a whole week off work so I can really have fun making things and I have already written a huge list of things I need to create..
muchos love xx

Drumkit in a Handbag cont.
>>>Finally!
My bag is finished, minus one piece of thumb. I got tired and crushed my finger with the sewing machine! Ouch..
Triumph! Although I am still missing a handle. The Mr. hasn't looked out the other drumstick for me. So I can't even use it yet.
It's weird though I took photos and no matter what light it was in. The picture makes the bag look blue but it is in fact a very royal purple.
I'm so pleased with myself and really happy that I could use different stitches on my sewing machine.
The drum kit isn't perfect but for my next one it will be better now that I have the technique down.
I'm so pleased with myself!!

Drumkit in a Handbag
>>>It appears to be delayed slightly. I had to rush into work to help out so I had no time to complete my masterpiece.
I have tomorrow off though so I am DEFINATELY going to complete it. I also quite fancy making a matching pouch and coin purse to go along. (very coordinated!) >.<
I tend to do this a lot. Start making something then take ages to finish it.
It will get done.

Drumkit in a Handbag
>>>At the moment I am still procrastinating. Haven't finished any fascinators.
I have moved onto making a bag from purple felt. I embroidered a drum kit onto the front pocket and I am going to use drumsticks as handles. Everything is ready to go. I was just too tired last night to complete it.
Basically today I just need to set up the sewing machine and throw everything todether then it's ready to rock and roll. No punn intended. haha
Will get the pictures up as soon as it's done.

Fascinating Facinators
>>>Recently I have really got into making my own fascinators and cutsey (is that even a word?) headbands. I honestly can never find the exact one I want in a store.
Do you ever picture the most amazing item in your mind and trawl through every store that might possibly sell that item?
You go into a gajillion stores, maybe 2 of them stock the item your dying to get your hands on and they are butt ugly..sigh...
Thats when I thought I would put my sewing skills to good use rather than making bags ect. and move onto making other items. Funky fascinators and headbands. Because to be honest only two stores in my local shopping centre stock them and everyone and their gran is going to have one.
I need something more...more me.
So I then raided all my crafty drawers and channeled my inner craft to come up with some stupendous ideas...on paper..ha
Still to complete one as I am procrastinator. I do have a few days off this week so I will be completing them. Very soon.
Just a few I found only internet...
